O pássaro negro é um importante elemento na simbologia de toda a história da arte. Já foi visto como uma espécie de Deus nas civilizações da antiguidade. Na Idade Média, era sinal de má-sorte. Poetas como Poe (1809 - 1849) já escreveram sobre o pássaro preto. Van Gogh (1853 - 1890), em seus quadros, faz referências aos corvos e também os The Beatles, em sua canção "Blackbird". No Sertão brasileiro, é tido como símbolo da seca, da aridez do clima. Também foi cantado por Luiz Gonzaga (1912 - 1989), compositor brasileiro, na música "Assum Preto". E prá você ? O que o pássaro preto pode representar?

Qualquer pessoa pode participar, artistas, artistas postais ou qualquer outra pessoa ao redor do mundo enviando o trabalho com o tema "Pássaro Preto".Os trabalhos não deverão exceder o tamanho A4.Técnica livre e em qualquer midia. Não haverá júri e os trabalhos recebidos não serão devolvidos.

BLACKBIRD PROJECT


The black bird is an important element in the symbology of the entire history of art. It has been seen as a sort of God in ancient civilizations. In the Middle Ages, was a sign of bad luck. Poets such as Poe (1809 - 1849) have written about the black bird. Van Gogh (1853 - 1890), in his paintings, makes references to crows and also The Beatles. In The Brazilian backlands, is seen as a symbol of drought, aridity of the climate. It was also sung by Luiz Gonzaga (1912 - 1989), Brazilian composer, music "Assum Preto". And for you? How do you see the black bird?



Artists / mail artists / anyone from around the world are invited to send mailart on theme “Blackbird”.

Pieces should be no larger than A4 size (Artworks on the back of the envelope,postcards). Documentation to all. no jury, no fee, no return postal/maildelivery only. (NORMAL POSTAL ONLY, NO COURIER OR EXPRESS DELIVERY).

Mailart ist Kunst per Post.
Künstler aus aller Welt folgen den Spuren von Ray Johnson, der in den 1960er Jahren die Mailart-Bewegung durch seine New York Correspondence School begründete. Im Umfeld von Neo Dada, Fluxus und Pop Art enstand ein Netzwerk, das jedem offen steht, einerlei ob er sich als Künstler oder als Kunstinteressierter begreift.
Von Beginn an war Mailart eine Netzwerkkunst, die sich selbst reflektiert, künstlerische Identitäten und virtuelle Personen hervorbringt und soziale Verhaltensweisen der Teilnehmer verändert. Dies ist möglich, denn Mailart ist immer Denk-Kunst, die zum experimentieren und spielen einlädt.*

Mailart-Projekt „Traces/Spuren“

Ende Oktober 2011 startete die Künstlerin Cristina Blank das Mailart-Projekt „Traces/Spuren“.
Dem internationalen Aufruf folgten 255 Künstler aus 40 Ländern.
393 Arbeiten wurden bis zum Einsendeschluss, Mitte Juni 2012, an 5B Mailart geschickt.

Alle Spuren dieses Projekts sind auf den folgenden Seiten dokumentiert.
Im Rahmen einer Ausstellung wurden alle Einsendungen im Juli 2012 im ATELIER 5B in Schondorf am Ammersee gezeigt.

Mailart-Project „Traces“

The artist Cristina Blank initiated the Mailart-Project “Traces/Spuren” end of October 2011.
255 artists from 40 countries followed this international call.
393 artworks were sent to 5B Mailart until deadline mid of June 2012.
